Christmas 2013

We had a great (but short) Christmas season this year.
Both kiddos really got into the spirit which made it that much sweeter.

Kiddos taking a little break on the couch while putting up the xmas tree
.....they got a little excited this year and broke almost half our ornaments,
its hard to be upset though they are just too cute for words!

The tree is up and the kids put Christmas stockings on walked around

More decorating going on.  I bought those bell ornaments a couple years
ago and they still are probably the best purchase ever.  They are metal, unbreakable,
and kept the kiddos from breaking what is left of our ornaments, haha!

Topping off the tree, we usually decorate and then finish a couple days later
Of course everybody has to have a turn:)

These two being too stinking cute as always

On our way to see Santa fly in to visit at the Deer Valley airport.
The only way we could convince Kaylee to sit on his lap was to paint her finger nails
red, just like Santa's suit.
Waiting patiently for Santa to show up in his helicopter from the North Pole.

 Watching Santa and his helpers
Kaylee actually did end up getting close to Santa while he made his way through the crowd.  He held her hand and said "Merry Christmas" , she was beyond thrilled, haha
 and the wait begins.
Its cool to be in a smaller setting to see Santa but they really let each and every kid take their time visiting with Santa, the line some years has taken almost two hours!!!!
This year we only waited about 40 min.

Kaylee did not cry at all this year and told Santa many times that her finger nails matched his suit.
Gavin telling Santa he wants a bike and a golf club
They always get a little gift bag after seeing Santa
 Family pic
Kiddos with Grandpa and Grandma, Kaylee at this point was done with being told to hold still and smile, she did really well though considering it was her nap time too!
Gavin going through the gift bag testing out all the loot
Gavin made this ginger bread house at pre-k.  He was sooooo proud of it but ate a little bit of it each day leading up to xmas.

Kaylee sitting next to the stockings

Trying to get them both to smile at the same time

baking the much anticipated ginger bread cookies
 Grandma was a huge help
 dusting the flour off
 taking turns
little boss lady with the rolling pin

 anxiously watching the cookie bake
 Kaylee doing the dishes

these kids love big boxes to play in
Kaylee being resourceful while reading her books
 cute lil' reindeer
Grandma put together luminaries for everyone to light

Even Ry got to partake in the fun

We loaded up norad Santa tracker for these two and they were hooked!
Still watching Santa make his way across the world
