happy lazy sunday:)

lazy day, just finished lunch now outside to enjoy the awesome weather:)

Green light

We got the okay from the ENT Dr this am that Gavin's ears are healed and doing well. First time in months we have gone to the doctor and not had an ear infection:) however our always happy cheerful boy decided he didn't feel like being at the doctors office today, so our normal in and out 1/2hr appt turned into an hour and 1/2 UGH! Gavin screamed through the entire hearing test ( I don't know how they interpreted that one), and had to have three people hold him down to look into his ears. Everyone kept commenting on how strong he is!!??!! I had to keep refilling his juice cup to make him even a little bit happy. It was entertaining to say the least, everyone was really nice Gavin just wanted nothing to do with any of them. Then to top things off as we left there is a huge water fountain outside that we pass on the way to the car. Gavin likes to play by it so I figure why not he has had a rough morning and the sun feels good so we can take a break and let him play. WRONG! Gavin decided to throw his juice cup into the top tier of the fountain. I'm way too short to reach the top so we had to wait for security to come around and fish it out for us. Hopefully the rest of the day will go smoother, fingers crossed.

lake pleasent

We headed out to lake pleasant for some grilling and a campfire. The weather was beautiful and even Riley got to come along. Both Gavin and Riley were trying to get in the water half the time so that was challenging, but it was nice to get outside and enjoy the awesome 70 degree+ weather we are having:) yea.....i have to rub it in for those at home b/c in a few months i'll be wishing i was at home when the temps stay above 100 for how many months out here??? ugh!!!

Happy St Pattys Day!!!!

We headed out to fountain hills with our neighbors on saturday for an early St Pattys Day celebration. They dye the fountain green and have a bunch of kiddie things for the kids and green beer for adults. Gavin had a blast, and we enjoyed our beer too. We topped it off with supper at a yummy mexican place, it is Phoenix after all......

Getaway

We headed to CA for a long weekend. We were able to take in skiing at Big Bear, CA for two days. We lucked out and had wonderful weather, jacket optional as you can see with AJ, being from MN having weather this nice while skiing is new to us! Then we headed to LA for the remainder of the weekend. It was cloudy/raining the whole time but were still able to get out. We saw the chinese theater and the walk of fame, which was cool because the Golden Globes were on and everyone was walking the red carpet. We also went to some beaches and the Santa Monica peir, regaurdless of the rain it was still cool to see! Sunday we headed back and were greeted by Gavin with a few new words, he stayed at home with Grandpa and Grandma who made sure he was kept busy with lots of entertainment! All and all it was a great trip and nice to be away from work:)
