Gavin Dentist

We took Gavin to the dentist today and he rocked it.  First year to get xrays done, he was a little unsure of this but got over it quickly with a trip to the treasure chest, he had two more of these to complete the visit.  I found out if that kids are usually pretty happy and easy going if you have lots of prizes for them:)  Kaylee got to come a long this time and watch her time is coming up this year, although I feel like we will be starting back at square one with this one, because sister does not like to be told to do things like sit in one place or open wide to look at teeth.  But time will tell:)

Sometimes when the holidays roll around we start to get a little homesick around here

 

 

Snow just means Christmas at home and its this time of year that seasons would really come in handy (also in the dead of summer, a change of season would be welcomed!)

 

a list of things that would not be fun doing at home right now-

 

sidewalk chalk would definitely not work in MN right now

 

Riding tricycles without a jacket and hat would be freezing in the snow

 

Same goes for bicycle rides

 Hot air balloons would not work in winter storm warnings

 

 the only sand showing at home right now would be on the roads

 

and swinging would just be freezing cold

 

 

So yes we miss our Minnesota friends, family and weather but we have all that down here just a little different than it is at home right now

We have had the tree up for awhile now, but for some reason forgot to finish with the star on top.  The last couple years Gavin has done it so we let him put the star up thinking Kaylee won't be too interested yet.....Wrong.  Kaylee thew a fit so we took it back down and let her have her turn.  I figured this was a couple years away but silly me right?

 

 



Santa

We got to see Santa fly in from the North Pole on his helicopter again this year.  Deer Valley airport does the every weekend in December for the little ones.  Its pretty cute!

21 months

 

Somebody is 21 months tomorrow, can not believe how time flies!

 

 

 she is still our strong willed, determined to do it her way, will not take no for answer, child:)

 She has developed quite the little personality that shines through.  She is goofy, loves to laugh, and her giggles are contagious!

 Unfortunately we haven't gotten too far on nixing the paci, but Kaylee is talking more and more each day.  She has just learned to take the paci out while she is talking (she is even doing this for her temper tantrums lately) then puts it back in when she is done.  Kaylee is attempting sentences too!  her tooth on the bottom right is finally poking through to even out the front.  I think more are on the way as someone (Kaylee) has been a bit moody lately, haha!

 Gavin is still her best bud and she tries to do most everything he does.

 Kaylee is doing really well using utensils to eat, but thats because Gavin uses then and she has to do EVERYTHING he does.

 She has become quite the little girl with lots of spunk and personality.....

......but then we won't have it any other way:)  She always draws attention whether its someone commenting on her cuteness or Kaylee throwing a tantrum there is never a dull moment with this one

 ......oh and by the way, we have some hair coming in, its definitely growing a little more each month...its still business style in front and a party look in the back though.
