March 24th this little sweetheart turned two years old
Words can not describe how much this little one has grown and changed so much in the past couple of months.
Kaylee is now talking up a storm, she has definitely decided that talking is now something she wants to do, her little voice so quite. We call her the little copy cat because she will repeat most everything you say and will always repeat what Gavin is saying. Gavin is still the most loved person in this little girls life, she wants to do EVERYTHING he is doing and gets pretty upset when she can't. She dislikes to be left out, like ever. I never thought a two year old could do things a four years does but Kaylee is very determined to figure out how to keep up.
Kaylee does not do well with the word no and likes to push limits when told not to do something. Subsequently we have started miniature time outs. This is hard because she does not like time out (at all) and will let you know...which hurts the ears! Temper tantrums are still running pretty free with this little soul, however they seem to happen less as she is talking more and more. This little girl's strong personality shines on.
Kaylee LOVES LOVES LOVES books and is constantly bringing them up to you to read to her. We also find her on the floor going through books and "reading" them herself. She is one determined little cookie.
Stats for Kaylee are the following
Height 32.5 inches 18%
Weight 21.0 lbs <3 class="separator" p="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"> 3>
She continues to be on the small side, but seeing as how much she still likes to be held it works out perfectly. She is just starting to get into 2T clothes and her shoe size moved up to a four. Hair department is still baby mullet style (business in front and party in back) thankfully though its really starting to thicken up. I have to really fight her some days to get her hair brushed. I usually get lucky if I give her chap stick or bracelets to play with then she will tolerate getting her hair done.
those eyes.....
Eating continues to go really well. Kaylee will most likely eat what you give her, she is also a huge fan of eating off your plate which means she has to sit on your lap. Little stinker fought so hard for her booster seat and now she is so over it! Kaylee also loves to eat fruit and lettuce, she actually likes to pick lettuce out of out everybody's salads and eat it. Kaylee has definitely cut back on her milk intake and has decided juice or water is better. So we try to give her milk when Gavin drinks milk (in a glass because that's how Gavin drinks it) and then she will drink her milk just to be like Gavin. Kaylee is using spoons and forks really well (as she has been for a while now) and bottles are gone, only sippys left.
And the paci.....I never thought I would say this but its only at naptime and bedtime. I was totally ready to send this one to kindergarten with it. Kaylee throws them back in her crib in the morning and they stay there pretty much all day. She does get her paci more often though if she is cranky or not feeling well, group consensus is its just easier on everyone's ears:)
Happy second birthday to our little baby girl
