few steps foreward, and a few back:)

Well after only two words for months we were wondering if Gavin was ever going to start adding to his vocabulary, he does talk endlessly we just can't understand it:) We went to his ENT appt on wednesday, Gavin passed his hearing test with flying colors (little stinker, had us wondering sometimes) and is now set for tubes this coming friday. We are hoping this will put an end to what seems like endless amounts of ABX his is on. So in following his usual schedual Gavin has been off ABX for almost two weeks now, he awoke this morning with a bad hacking cough/cold/junk in nose business. Off to the Doctor this AM to make sure we weren't dealing with something more that would have to postpone his tubes (RSV season is in full swing out here)...............and guess who has another ear infection??!!!! So now back on ABX and if he doesn't get worse we can still get tubes. So the plans for this weekend; sleep, play, and nap. I can do that. Gavin might enlighten us with some more words; so far he has added "bye" (with the hand wave), ball (this comes up frequently when playing with the dogs), and his "pup pup" which he sleeps with at night. Keeping fingers crossed Gavin keeps getting better so we can get tubes next week and move on!!!
