4th of July

We had a good 4th, mainly because the temps were awesome and we could be outside during the day (and not dying of heat) for once.  It rained in the morning, probably the first rain Kaylee has been old enough to be able to play in.  We now need to get Kaylee her own umbrella as Gavin is not sharing his, poor girl got pretty wet but it was warm enough to not bother her.  Later after we went to a pool party we went to see fireworks at Peoria baseball fields.  We were a lot later than last year so Gavin only got in a couple of bounce houses and slides.  Gavin wasn't as entertained this year with fireworks, he probably asked about 5 times to go home!  Kaylee was overtired and crabby so when they started at 9:15 pm she was pretty much crying or zoned out.  Needless to say by the time we got to the car they were both out like a light and slept until 8:15 the next morning:)

Gavin got his cast off on Tuesday, and he did amazing!!  Not a single tear shed, didn't throw fit and was probably the best and cutest patient of the day:)  We watched youtube videos prior to and talked about how loud the saw to cut the cast off was going to be.  It must have worked because Gavin cooperated fully and even did xrays with no problems.  The stitches are disolvable and his swelling should go down with time.  Now he just has to get use to using it again, we catch him all the time just holding his left arm like it was when it was casted, haha!

 the best part of going to hand doctors office, there is an indoor garden area to play in...awesome when its 100+ degrees outside:)

We usually have to wait until the sun sets or is at least behind the mountain before we go outside these days, so a lot of the time it is completely dark out.  There are street lights everywhere so that helps, plus its more tolerable when the sun is down the heat seems to dip a little.

Gavin loves to run around the house and build towers with the couch cushions, this keeps him pretty busy.  He has yet to the let that cast get the best of him, two more days and back to the pool for us!

Kaylee around the house lately, she is getting more and more determined everyday.  She continues to push her limits and does not like the word "no".  Things will only get more interesting
