As always, I can not believe Kaylee is 8 months old! She is growing up so fast. Little miss Kaylee is now eating lots and lots of baby food, crawling with ease & pulling herself up on everything. She just discovered how to climb stairs, gates need to go up again already....geez! She has recovered just fine from her ear tubes and hopefully has got a lot of un-sick time ahead of her (knock on wood). She continues to follow Gavin around like a little lost puppy, she loves this kid. She wants everything Gavin is playing with and continues to want to be next to him even when he is not very nice in return. Kaylee also laughs the hardest when Gavin is around, she loves everything he does and thinks it is sooo funny (which is the sweetest thing ever!!!). Kaylee continues to grow into her own little person everyday, continuing with her witty sometimes demanding attitude, haha. She likes things done now or 10 mins ago, and she can't believe that anyone would want to put her down for even a split second. She love, loves to cuddle and she continues to be an absolutely amazing sleeper. She likes to put everything into her mouth, her most favorite is paper....she will eat it too if you let her, as Gavin would say "that's disgusting Kaylee" ha! She has no teeth or any signs that they are coming any time soon. She has started to put puff cereal and teething cookies to her mouth but gets extremely upset if she misses her mouth and they end up somewhere out of her reach. This then becomes an emergency and everyone must drop what they are doing and find the food she lost because if you don't she looses it....haha. She is our strong willed child, but she looks so cute when she is doing it so that makes it all good:)

recapping the week

Its been a busy busy week, and it will only get busier as the holidays roll in. AJ works most of thanksgiving weekend, starting Thursday night (thanksgiving night)...Yuck. I work the whole turkey day (double yuck), so an early Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Kaylee got her tubes put in her ears (bilaterally) on the 18th. She did really well, just the expected crankiness/ crabby baby for the weekend. She basically wanted to be held all the time and only in the bouncer when absolutely necessary. Her left ear was very infected, so she went home a hefty dose of oral & ear drops for abx's and some steroids to help with the swelling. She didn't do too well with all the meds so we readjusted and she is feeling much better this week. The last few nights she went back to sleeping through the night, so I'm pretty sure she is feeling a lot better today than a week ago. As always I wish we were able to get this done sooner but at least we can now hopefully move on the some healthier times:)

They love to look at the all birthday cards Gavin got for his birthday. Gavin likes to read them and Kaylee wants to just eat them, its entertaining

Gavin got rain boots for his birthday, he LOVES them. Thankfully it has rained a few days since then

Gavin's 3rd Birthday

Gavin had a pretty good 3rd birthday, he managed to score lots and lots of presents and got to wake up to birthday pancakes and balloons. The balloons were probably the most entertaining. In fact two weeks later whats left of the balloons are still floating around the house. Gavin at three years old is a blast to be with. He still is very easy going, but is starting to have a little bit of an opinion here and there. He LOVES most everything he talks about and is starting to really surprise us with his analogies. He had a great time at Halloween this year (we are still hearing about superman costumes and trick or treating and its almost December). He is really into Cars (Lightning McQueen), blocks, rain boots, and of course The Little Einsteins is his absolute favorite cartoon. He is still really attached to his blue blanket and will not go to sleep with out it (yes we found this out). He continues to do well with his new little sister, but is starting to test boundaries with her lately, sharing is one thing that needs improvement.....haha!
