rolling with it
So last weekend Gavin started telling us "potty" We thought it was a fluke and he didn't know what he was saying but I put him on the toilet and he went, WHAT (he is not even two yet)!!! So starts the journey of no diapers.....however it hasn't been that easy. We found out another kid at daycare is trying to potty train too so we think thats where Gavin picked it up from. With his wonderful two year old attitude there have been some days that he does well with using the the potty, and other days we get a huge "NO" when we offer it to him and he goes in his pull-ups. So I just tell everybody we are trying it out and seeing how things go. I figure he goes about 50% of the time in the potty and the rest its a wash. We went to target last night and got him a potty seat and big boy underwear, but once again the two year old attitude shined through and he could of cared less. ahhh so my motto is to the just roll with it and hopefully someday soon we can stop blowing our $$$ on diapers:)

nap time
Gavin went down like a champ for his nap today. We played outside all morning, after all its only 95 degrees with 44% humidity (thats doable for those of us from MN) Then he played with the kids at Kids Klub @ the gym and we stopped by McDonalds on the way home where he got to run in the playland with all the kiddies. As soon as I put him in his carseat he was out, thankfully when he naps once he is out its easy to move him to the crib.

and on to the next...
for the past well almost 10 months (which seems like forever around here) Gavin has been having milk and a banana "nana" for breakfast. Like an old record it seems. Recently he has discovered cereal and well its his new thing. Its pretty comical to watch but he only uses the spoon for awhile and then moves on to his hands and then proceeds to dump whats left all over himself. Its a little hard for his "OCD clean" mother but we are working on it. Notice there is no more bibs in the picture, yes our very independant 20 month old has decided they are no longer necessary. Cleanup is now even more fun:)
Cutest kid EVER!!!

HOME!
We made our annual trip to MN this past week, which is why the posts have been few and far between. We had a great time and got to see a ton of people. Had a blast with friends and family and then returned to Phoenix to finish out the work week, ugh! This weekend will be spent relaxing and trying to stay indoors to beat the heat:)
