Flagstaff

With the changes in our work schedules we are able to spend more weekends together.  We headed up to Flagstaff in search of snow.  We got a lot of rain in Flag but as we headed up the mountain it turned into sticky wet snow.  We took Gavin skiing and Kaylee chilled in the lodge or at the bottom of the bunny hill.  Gavin was more interested in playing with the snow this time so AJ and I had a hard time keeping his concentration while working getting him up and skiing this time around:)

 Patiently waiting for the snow
Trying to figure out what is going one, once Kaylee arrived at the ski hill, she wasn't so sure of all the people bundled up with strange hats and jackets on.
poor Kaylee so bundled up she can hardly move

He still doesn't like to use his ski's, he would rather be pulled
 catching snow on his tongue

Kaylee at the end of the day, pretty much had it with everything and was not going to smile for anything!

No trip to Flag is complete without a trip to the train station

The kid were both asked to stay behind the line to stay safe when the trains come by.  Looks like we have one rule follower and one free spirit, life is gonna get interesting:)

23 months!

Pretty soon we are gonna hit the big 2.0!!!!

Times flies and this little one is getting more interactive by the minute

We are still seeing a very strong personality (the girl knows what she wants) but we are starting to see some reasoning with this one.  She learning to be patient by counting to 10, and getting pretty good at counting while she is at it.

Kaylee still is a good eater when she feels like but has started to copy her brother when he refuses something she refuses it too.  She still impresses us with her ability to try everything at least once.

Kaylee has developed a huge love of music, she loves to sing and dance.  Of course it has to be the kids bop type music, hopefully we can interest her is some of our stuff too as she gets older.  Right now if she doesn't like the music that is on she will let you know it, until you shut it off or change it to her liking.

Talking and words are coming around a lot more recently. Not sure if it is a daycare issue or Kaylee has decided to join the language world, either or she is really increasing her sentence length quickly. We are trying to get of rid of the paci (my original plan of her going to pre-K with it has been nixed) but its going to be a slow process.  Kaylee does leave it in her crib in the mornings but sneaks back into her room throughout the day to retrieve it.  We also are pretty lax on the whole subject too because, well hey who doesn't deserve some quite time once in while??!!! :))

in the name of catch up

Well it looks like I forgot to update this blog for almost a month, not quite sure where the time has gone but how about some pictures of the littles?? Okay then:)

We got out some fireworks with the kiddos, as always its a very awesome-nerve racking experience.  They love the lights and sounds but still have a hard time keeping their distance at times which gives this mother some grey hairs to say the least!
 Like father like son

level four!

Gavin has been working really hard at his swim lessons and recently got to move up to level four.
We rewarded him with a trip to peter piper pizza.
I'm not sure who had more fun, the kids or AJ??!!

Target

We obviously spend too much time here for the kids to figure this one out
