Kaylee at 9 months

Kaylee (aka Miss Independent)  is doing great.  One ear infection since her tubes and we have avoided the pediatricians office all together in December, sigh of relief here:)  Kaylee continues to want things done her way but is a very happy baby.  She is getting more smiley and its still work to get her to laugh.  She likes to babble to herself a lot now that her tubes are in.  She continue to love her brother to pieces and will follow him anywhere.  She has started to get some height, her 6 month pants are highwaters.  Car rides are as always a hit and a miss.  Sometimes she settles down and naps or watches her brother but mostly she likes to scream bloody murder.  It keeps things interesting.  She wants so badly to feed herself.  She gets quite angry when you try to spoon feed her at times but its hard to find foods that she can feed herself with no teeth.  We think she is starting to get one tooth in the bottom, but she has been chewing on everything for months now so its hard to tell.  As always it is nice to report she still is an amazing sleeper and is starting to think about taking some long naps here and there. Kaylee has been crawling for a couple of months and last month started pulling herself up.  She is using some furniture to get around but not frequently.  Gavin might still hold the record for walking at 9 months, time will tell:)  She is content to crawl everywhere and thats okay with us.

And a Very Happy New Year:)

Happy New Years Everyone!!!  Its going to be a great one

ps. Somebody discovered fireworks and is now hooked........!

Christmas

Everyone had the off on Christmas (rare occasion) so we just hung out, ate and opened gifts.  Pretty low key but very relaxing= the best part:)

Santa

  1. Christmas eve everyone went to Steve and Sarah's while I got to go to work.  When we got home we put out milk and cookies for Santa.  Gavin was all about it.

  2. Then the kiddos went to bed and well Santa decided to show up later with lots and lots of presents for good little girls and boys

Then the next morning the kids got to wake up and open presents.  It was kinda funny both were just obsessed with their stockings and forgot about all the other presents, so throughout the day we opened presents.  Gavin is starting to get the hang of unwrapping although he is still unsure of it.  So we mostly helped him and Kaylee tried her best to eat all the paper she could find.

When in Phoenix, Santa arrives in style

Santa went over much better this year than in the past with Gavin.  He got to see him on several occasions and even sat on his lap, MAJOR improvement over the past years.   We opted out of the overcrowded mall Santa this year, The airport near us has Santa fly in a helicopter, from the North Pole of course, and then everyone lines up and can sit in Santa's lap and get their own picture and goodie bag.  Its really laid back and most of the kids pretty much loose their little minds when they see Santa come out of the helicopter, its really cute.  We had to wait over an hour in line but both kids did really well.  Gavin asked Santa for an airplane, and even got a pic with Santa,  Kaylee pretty much could of cared less:)

Gavin going through the little bag Santa gives each kid, he had to wait an hour for this bag.  He saw all the kids ahead of him with toy airplanes and he wanted one really bad.  It was really hard for him to understand the concept but he was one happy boy when he got his toy airplane

Bringerbreadhouse

That is how Gavin has been saying gingerbread house for most of the xmas season.  I know I should correct him but it sounds just so darn cute!  After we finished his house he did really well just looking at it, the next day he figured out how to push to chair up to the counter and sneak candy off it.  Little stinker, he always knows when no one is looking.

Kinda forgot to get a pic of the final product, opps!

Wow.....looking back I guess I've been enjoying the holidays a little too much, I have not blogged anything that has gone on.  So catch up starts now (and throughout this week).......ready set GO!
