Happy New Year

.............and anniversary to us!!! haha  Its crazy its been 5 years already, we still talk about how much fun it was:)  Plans this year are very different from past years.  No block party/bar hopping or even champagne for me:(  Instead we plan to stay in this new years and watch movies/hang out.  AJ has to close so hopefully he makes it home before midnight, fingers crossed!  Tomarrow we plan on hitting up the fiesta bowl, happy new year everyone!!!!!!!!!!

Merry Xmas!!!

We had a good xmas this year, much to be thankful for.  For starters both AJ and I were off on the same day!!! This never happens.  We missed being with family and the xmas traditions that brings but we made the most of being in phoenix.....75 degrees = pool time!!!  Can't do that in MN:)  We just hung out this am, Gavin became the best two year old present opener ever!  We now share our house with even more choo choo trains then I ever thought possible, but oh well every one brought a huge smile and shriek of excitment from this little boy so its all worth it.  Other than that we just hung out at the house, watched some shrek, hit up the pool, played Wii, oh and ate food:)

Went in Gavin's room this morning to get him ready for daycare......this must be how he slept last night:)

big boy bed!

 

We tried (again) the big boy bed, ie convert the crib over. It went much better than the last attempt we made a while back.  It took Gavin 30mins to jump in and out of it (there is a pile of blankets on the floor in case he rolls out) before he was tired enough to go to bed.  We had to put down a couple of times but overall it went pretty good.  I'm crossing my fingers for a successful night #2 coming up here. We ended up converted his crib earilier than planned due to the fact that this little stinker has figured out how to extend his bedtime by successfully using the potty after you put him down.  He has realized we can't punish him for this so he likes to make a couple trips after he has been put down.  He now can get himself back to bed which is nice.

This is the picture of the choo choo train AJ and I managed to find on our trip.  Since our kid is choo choo train obessessed (not kidding) we decided this would be the best souvenir we could get him from mexico:) more pics of the trip to follow, soon I hope

We are having a Girl!!!

We are excited to announce that baby #2 is going to be a girl:)  Here are some pics from the ultrasound.

Santa

We took Gavin to the mall to go see santa.  We knew it wasn't going to go well, but Gavin let us know it wasn't going to happen at all.  We got there and there was no line and were able to walk through "santa land" pretty quick.  Then we got to santa at the end where you are suppose to sit on santa's lap (or at least talk to him) and take a picture,  Gavin saw this and walked the opposite direction to the exit....crazy kid!  We attempted numero times to get him use to santa but Gavin wouldn't get within three feet of the man. Maybe next year??
